Thank You For Being There, When I Wasn’t There For Myself

I’ve covered a lot on this blog, and there’s still so much I wish to share. My mind is truly unlimited when it comes to words, emotions, and wishes. I’ve shared a lot of my failures, and my triumphs too (going on 40 days without a smidget of porn). I have an incredible following (2,030 followers as of publishing), and I hope it grows even more. I’ve been posting since August 2016, and I’ve come to know some of you. Maybe you feel the same way about me, and maybe you don’t (that’s fine), but I’m grateful for the support, encouragement, and joy you’ve brought me. I wrote a little piece for you in return….

Dropped into my life

just a bunch of orange dots

in the corner of my screen

You seem to be overly confident

in someone you’ve never seen

I don’t know why

all I said was hi

I guess you saw the grief, the strife

in years you’ve already lived

and you pressed send

You have confidence

in me

and while it seemed to lack common sense

I am strengthened

by your words

truth and kindness

never heard

Your care

and your face

part of this revival

In a world

with so many choices

I have

so few voices

I love all you

but to Tina, Maureen, Charlie, Stevie, Patty, Jeanne, Summer, Sascha, Kelly, Brian, Michelle, Little Person,Β Anna, Rachel, Davy, Beth, Okoto, Kendra,Β Brenda, Rosema, Marisa, Fallen Saint, Ana, Jonathan, Patty, Wallace Peach, Ivy, Vonita, Dorinda, Joice, and the Secret Poetess

you’re a special group

  1. I’m so glad I read this post. It’s so special when bloggers show sincere gratitude like this 😊 I was so happy I made it into your special group list! I love your blog, it’s one of my faves. I am behind on my reading but so glad I read this one πŸ’–β˜Ί hugs. Summer. And we’ll done for going porn free! πŸ’ͺ

    1. Behind on your reading? Lol.
Of course you made it, you’ve been one of my biggest helps. You really helped when I was talking about social cues and stuff like that, and you’ve been a sweetheart to me on here. And the feeling of freedom…man, it feels incredible.

  2. I loved this Dev πŸ™‚ I really care about you! It takes a lot of guts to write, let alone putting our feelings into words. You have a heartfelt way and I always feel it when I read what you write. I truly believe in you. You are a wonderful person and even though we’ve never met in person, I know this! It just takes time to understand ourselves and learn that whatever we are, we are and we have to learn how to accept it for what it is. We are each individuals for a reason. YOU are YOU and for many reasons. So, please keep doing what you do best my friend. WRITE YOUR HEART OUT because you do it so well~ I love you Devereaux~MOOOAH!

    1. Tina this is incredible. Thank you thank you thank you. My words feel strong because I, the person, feel strongly, and I really appreciate it that someone else can feel that. I’ve never always had it right, and there’s so much I still don’t understand. There’s also a lot I still can’t do, and probably won’t ever do, but when I have someone who’s rooting for me to go all the way, no matter what…that does something for a person, Tina. I don’t think I’ve ever had someone as confident in me as you. I know I doubt myself a lot, and still wonder if I’ll ever get my dreams, but having unwavering support makes chasing worth it. Thank you Tina.

      1. Devereaux, no need for thanks but you’re welcome my friend. Thank you for the poem, it made me feel special. This comment made me smile because people like you are incredible and don’t get enough praise. I don’t look at you any different than anyone else. I have my fair share of fucking issues too! Trust me. I mean every word I say to you. I have connected with so many great people here and it’s an amazing feeling to be able to make you feel stronger by words that I write to you! Much love Devereaux❀
